Kaiserschmarrn ( sliced pancake with raisins)

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup none rising flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2/3 cup of raisins
  • a pinch of Salt
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon powdered Sugar

1. separate egg yolk from the egg white ( keep eggwhite u will need it )

2. in a bowl combine egg yolk, with flour, milk, baking powder, sugar, salt, and mix to a smooth creamy dough. cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rest for 10 minutes

3. Meanwhile, with a mixer stiffen the eggwhite till you can turn the bowl over and it will not spill out.

4. then gently lift the eggwhite under the dough along with the raisins.

5. heat a large skillet with a high rim, add 2 spoon butter, once butter is heated fill in all the dough and let bake like a pancake, now and then lift the sides when you see the dough showing bubbles flip the thick pancake and place the butter under pancake …

quarter the large pancake and then slowly rip it to mouth-sized pieces (shown in the picture below stir so all sides of pieces are golden brown. )
