We also love spicy foods, and this is one recipe I got from the mother of a dear Korean friend. I know you all seek German foods but I couldn’t resist adding this one here.
Ingredients:
2lbs fresh chicken livers
3 toes garlic
1/2 cup soya sauce (i usually get Korean sauce but Kikkomon is known worldwide and will do)
2 Tablespoon (Chili(Red Pepper) Gochujang Whayoung) careful very hot if u do not like it too hot reduce to 1 tablespoon (if u cant find paste in-store or happen to have run out you can use 2 Tablespoon of Sambal Olek)
1 cup water with half teaspoon potato flour mixed
How it is done:
Clean chicken liver from fatty tissues if pieces are to large half them in the middle, Place in a bowl then peel the garlic and with a garlic press garlic into the bowl holding the liver then add soya sauce and chili paste mix with a cooking spoon. Cover the bowl and let rest in the fridge for 3 hours.
Then heat a wok or large skillet and add 3 Tablespoon of peanut oil. The oil is hot enough when it starts to develop smoke. Now add the marinated chicken liver and let fry until done, just before the liver is done add water and potato flour mix and stir …
May have to add a bid more soya sauce to it if the sauce stock appears not enough (careful not too much as the sauce is real salty-)
Served best with basmati rice (cook as instructed) should cook the rice about twenty minutes before the chicken liver is done. So, you won’t have to wait for the rice to finish. I had to use sambal olek here
